This turned out to be a real find! We headed west to make the most of the warmest February weather on record and because of a friend's recommendation went to stay in Old Rose Shepherd Hut at Fry's Moor House. We found ourselves in the heart of the glorious countryside of Devon and Somerset. Old Rose was ultra luxurious. I loved the hot tub.... My partner loved his scummy breakfast of bacon and eggs that had been provided by the owners. I had creamy Greek yogurt and homemade muesli. Lots of extras too. They had left a bottle of wine and some lovely chocolates. We are already looking at booking again in the summer and catching sight of that kingfisher!!!
